How the swimming pool price calculator works
Most pool companies make you fill in a form and wait two days to hear a number. We would rather show you upfront. The calculator uses SA Gunite Pools’ actual price list, so what you see is what we would realistically be working from.

What your price includes
New pool construction
A new gunite pool priced through the calculator covers the full build — excavation, steel, sprayed gunite shell, plumbing, filtration, coping and a Diamond White marblite finish.

Re-Marbelite
Stripping the old surface and re-surfacing your pool in Diamond White marblite.

Re-Fibreglass
Lining your existing pool in white fibreglass.

What the calculator price does not include
Being straight about this upfront saves everyone a wasted site visit. Your calculator price excludes:
On new pools
- Paving around the pool — coping is included, paving is not
- Soil removal from site
- Colour marblite. Diamond White is the standard finish; colour is an extra over
On re-marbelite and re-fibreglass
- Replacement of weirs, aimflos and lights
- Replacement of coping
- Replacement of mosaics (re-marbelite)
- Colour finishes. White is standard, colour options are an extra over
Anything unusual about your site — difficult access, rock, a steep slope, a long pipe run — is priced separately once we have had a look. That is what the detailed quote is for.
Why pool prices differ by area
Distance, travel time and site access all affect what a pool costs to build. A team working in Centurion is not carrying the same overheads as a team working on the West Rand. Rather than quote one blended price and adjust it later, we price each of our five Gauteng service areas separately — so the number the swimming pool price calculator gives you is closer to the real thing from the start.

How accurate is the swimming pool price calculator?
The calculator uses our current published price list for standard pool sizes, so it is an accurate starting point rather than a guess. What it cannot see is your site — access for machinery, ground conditions, existing plumbing and the finishes you choose. Those are confirmed in your detailed quote.
Do the prices include VAT?
Yes. Every price shown includes 15% VAT.
What is the difference between re-marbelite and re-fibreglass?
Re-marbelite strips the old surface and re-applies a marblite (cement-based) finish — the traditional South African pool surface, and what most gunite pools were originally built with. Re-fibreglass lines the pool with a fibreglass layer instead.
Do you need to see my property before quoting?
For a formal quotation, yes. A short site visit lets us check access, levels, soil and your existing plumbing so there are no surprises later. The calculator gives you the ballpark; the site visit gives you the number you can sign.
My pool is not a standard size. Can you still price it?
Of course. The calculator covers our standard sizes — for anything custom, freeform or unusually deep, send us your details and we will price it properly.
